A Cassadaga tradition
The story of the Fredrickson furniture factory in Cassadaga, NY (Chautauqua County) is closely tied to the development of the village's early twentieth-century lumber and woodworking industry.
Beginning in the early 1920s, the Fredrickson family established an important manufacturing and lumbering enterprise that would provide employment, supply building materials and wood products, and contribute to the construction of several recognizable buildings in the surrounding community.
The furniture-making side of the business was particularly significant. The factory did not simply produce generic lumber; it turned locally sourced wood into specialized, finished components.

The operation could use the region's timber resources while relying on skilled local craftsmen for cutting, shaping, assembling and finishing wooden components.
This site features an inventory of industrial antique, architectural salvage, repurposed furniture, architectural design elements — pieces such as old factory carts, cast-iron-wheel carts, workbenches, butcher/worktables, industrial bases, islands, seating, reclaimed tabletops, consoles, small boxes and more sourced from the closed manufacturing facility, having stood idle for more than 10 years.
Each piece has been cleaned, lightly sanded in keeping with rustic design, finished with Danish oil rub.
